Ethan Lander
A New York–based saxophonist with over 15 years of experience, Ethan Lander brings a strong jazz foundation and a versatile musical approach to weddings, private events, and corporate functions. From cocktail hours and ceremonies to full-band and DJ hybrid performances, he has worked across a wide range of event settings throughout the New York area. Having performed at venues such as The View on the Hudson, The Somerley at Fox Hollow, The Vineyards at Aquebogue, and The Long Beach Hotel, Ethan brings a refined, natural presence to each event, focusing on creating the right atmosphere while being easy to work with and making the process feel simple from start to finish.
Where Jazz Influence Meets Modern Performance
From an early age, Ethan has been drawn to music, growing up surrounded by great artists such as The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Earth, Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, and jazz greats like Sonny Rollins and Ben Webster. He began playing alto saxophone in elementary school, later transitioning to tenor in high school. This shift deepened his connection to the instrument and led to a years long pursuit of jazz at a high level.
Over the years, Ethan has developed a warm, jazz-influenced tone inspired by players like Sonny Rollins, Lester Young, and Dexter Gordon, bringing that sound into a wide range of styles.
In addition to his event work, he enjoys performing covers of both classic and modern music, sharing creative and multi-instrumental content on Instagram (@itsethanlander). Performing is something Ethan genuinely enjoys, and his goal is simple: to play music people love and make each event enjoyable and memorable for everyone there.
